Duties and responsibilities:

Paid Communications Internship at Back Up
Location: London
Closing date: 2nd March 2015
Duties and responsibilities:
  • 9-12 month contract
  • Assisting the Head of Communications and PR to promote Back Up online and int he media 
  • Ensure effective communication 
  • Help develop a new website in time for the 30th Anniversary in 2016

Editorial/News Fellowship at Buzzfeed
Location: London
Closing date: Ongoing
Duties and responsibilities 
  • Six-month programme 
  • Learn how to track down and write up news and human interest pieces that shape the agenda and readers enjoy sharing
  • Writing and editing posts tailored to BuzzFeed New's audience, exploring how people share content, particularly on Facebook, Twitter, and other popular social sites
  • Finding out how to cover breaking news and unearth individual scoops

Summer Internships at Oxford University Press
Location: Oxford
Closing date: 1st March 2015
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Lasts eight consecutive weeks
  • Work on a specific project for the period, as well as working within different departments supporting marketing, editorial, rights, production and project teams
  • Projects cover a variety of areas from science to maths publishing and bilingual dictionaries to online products

Five Apprenticeships at Channel Four

The Apprenticeships are for twelve months working in one particular business area of Channel 4, getting involved in all aspects of that department’s work and how it relates to Channel Four overall. There’ll also be specific projects and assignments with offered support to quickly build skills and knowledge. The apprenticeship also offers working with a nominated training provider on a Business Admin National Vocational Qualification,up to NVQ Level 3.

Audience Research and Insight Apprenticeship
Location: London
Duties and responsibilities
  • Analysing programme performance and viewer feedback using internal systems
  • Preparing weekly and monthly viewing reports on the performance of the Channel Four portfolio and the competitive set
  • Answering ad-hoc research enquiries from commissioning editors, schedulers, programme producers and press 
Content Management Apprenticeship
Location: London
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Creating Presentation schedules for the linear Channels and taking them to Press
  • Programme Logging, viewing programmes to decide where commercial breaks will be placed
  • Assisting with producing contingency plans for live programmes, with Programme delivery from the point of commissioning to TX, and selecting clips and images for programmes for Vod Platforms  

 Digital Assistant (Sales Dept Digital Team) Apprenticeship
Location: London
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Day to day office duties
  • Liasing with internal contacts and responding to queries
  • Responding to agency requests and queries in line with company guidelines, producing internal reports and market/competitor data and booking and monitoring sales commitments 

Nations and Regions Apprenticeship
Location: Glasgow
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Providing on-going research support to the Nations and Regions team
  • Assisting the Nations and Regions coordinator with the Channel Four Diversity of Supply programme across the UK and in the Glasgow office
  • Capturing, maintaining and delivering key data for Channel Four's new diversity of database, collaborating with the Creative Diversity Team in London and providing administrative support to the Nations and Regions team on development and commissioning projects

Viewer Interactive Service Apprenticeship
Location: London
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Help review and create compelling propositions
  • Reviewing programmes and competition materials in advance and live as broadcast 
  • Preparing operational documentation and building webpages, general research work and creating reports on performance, liaising with key suppliers, testing entry methods and assisting at location shoots and managing winners 

Weekend Assistant Job and Paid Internships at Share Radio
Location: London
Closing date: Starting immediately 
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Working for up to six hours on the weekend and the role involving for the Weekend shows
  • Paid internship scheme lasts for three to six months at a time, providing key skills such as writing news bulletins, helping record and edit packages, doing interviews via phone, conducting vox-pops and interviews live or with an audio recorder and helping book live guests
  • Gain insight into all roles on a radio station and learn reporting, editing and producing, enabling skills for future roles as in a career for broadcasting 

Telegraph Saturday Magazine Features Apprenticeship
Location: London
Closing date: 4 months from now
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Research, cuts and transcriptions for features
  • Uploading content onto the Telegraph website
  • Day-to-day admin including: assisting the features team with key administration tasks, and writing for both print and online

Graduate Copywriter at Liquid Thread 
Location: London
Closing date: 9 days from now
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Writing original content for high profile nation and international clients
  • Producing articles, blogs and other forms of online content
  • Assisting with editing teams work and liaising to discuss projects, and with content audits and performing content-based research for high profile national and global network clients
